The Joint-Stock Company Ukrainian Defense Industry signed a cooperation document with the leading German defense company Dynamit Nobel Defense.

Dynamit Nobel Defense GmbH (DND) is a German arms manufacturer, a subsidiary of the Israeli company Rafael.
“Our partnership is important for strengthening defense capabilities, important for Ukraine’s victory and building the Arsenal of the free world,” said Herman Smetanin, Director General of JSC Ukrainian Defense Industry.
Dynamit Nobel Defense is one of Europe’s largest arms manufacturers, producing RGW 60, RGW 90, RGW 110 and Pzf 3 anti-tank grenade launchers. As a reminder, the company’s grenade launchers have already been provided to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of military assistance.
In addition, the company specializes in the development and production of communication and situational awareness systems, armor for armored vehicles, and fire extinguishing systems for various purposes.
Ukraine and Germany are actively developing cooperation in the defense industry.
In early January, Militarnyi reported that the German defense company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft started construction of an armored vehicle repair center in Ukraine.
FFG will become the second German defense company after Rheinmetall to set up its facilities in Ukraine.
In October 2023, Oleksandr Kamyshin, Minister of Strategic Industries, told Morning Defense that German military equipment manufacturer Flensburger Fahrzeugbau would cooperate with a “private Ukrainian defense industrial company.”
At the beginning of December, it was reported that the German defense concern Rheinmetall AG plans to launch production of its armored vehicles in Ukraine in 2024.
The company wants to produce Fuchs wheeled armored personnel carriers and Lynx armored fighting vehicles.
