At the international IDEX-2025 exhibition in Abu Dhabi, UkrArmoTech presented a light armored pickup truck UAT-TISA.
The company announced this on its Facebook page.
The TISA light armored vehicle is designed to transport personnel of defense units (4 people, including 2 crew members), deliver ammunition, and transport cargo weighing up to one ton.
In addition, it can be used for low-risk tactical missions and for mobile response and rapid deployment of mobile groups.
The vehicle is based on the reinforced chassis of the TOYOTA LAND CRUISER LC79. The company’s specialists are rebuilding the chassis system with the installation of reinforced sets of relevant components.
The vehicle’s crew and troops are housed in an armored capsule that separates them from the engine compartment and fuel tanks, and the workplaces are designed to save soldiers’ lives in the event of a mine explosion.
According to the manufacturer, the vehicle has level 1 protection in accordance with STANAG 4569. This armor provides protection against non-armor-piercing bullets of 7.62×51 mm caliber from a distance of more than 30 meters and the detonation of a 155 mm high-explosive fragmentation projectile at a distance of 80 meters. Mine protection is designed to detonate 3 kg of explosives and DM 51 grenades under the center of the bottom.
The UAT-TISA’s fuel tanks have enough capacity to cover more than 1,000 kilometers on a single refueling. The vehicle is also equipped with a snorkel and front and rear night vision cameras. There is also the possibility of a standard electronic warfare system.
According to the manufacturer, TISA vehicles will be delivered to the National Guard and the State Border Guard Service units this year. A modification of the operational and technical vehicle for the needs of the SES is also being developed.
In November 2024, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized the use of the domestic armored vehicle UAT-TISA in the Defense Forces. However, neither the technical characteristics of the armored vehicle nor even the manufacturer were known at the time.
In addition to the armored pickup truck, UkrArmoTech also presented a new armored vehicle, the GYURZA-O2, at the IDEX arms exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
The company stated in a press release that “this year, the Ukrainian Defense Forces will be able to receive hundreds of GYURZA-02 armored vehicles” that are optimal for combat missions.
This armored vehicle is designed to transport personnel (10+1) and their fire support, perform reconnaissance and patrol tasks. The vehicle can be equipped with a machine gun turret or a remotely controlled combat module.
