A video appeared of the Russian MT-LB with the installation of the Soviet А-22 Ogon’ naval multiple rocket launcher being hit.
The video footage of the attack on the enemy installation was published by Serhii Sternenko, Ukrainian volunteer.
The Russian equipment was attacked by Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drones.
The strikes were carried out by special forces of the Security Service of Ukraine together with the soldiers of the National Guard of Ukraine from 11th Brigade.
The video shows the use of two Ukrainian kamikaze drones, targeting the aft part and then the front of the Russian vehicle.
The А-22 Ogon’ naval multiple rocket launcher based on the MT-LB chassis was disabled on the left bank of the Kherson region.
This territory is temporarily under the control of the Russian invasion forces.
As previously reported, earlier in September, a photo of one such destroyed Russian installation appeared on social media.
It was reported that the vehicle was destroyed near the village of Kozachi Laheri in the Kherson region.
According to the image, the MT-LB body has burned, and the vehicle does not show trace of fragmentation damage, which may indicate the use of an FPV drone or ammunition that was dropped from a drone. Militarnyi reported the appearance of such MLRS in June 2023.
А-22 Ogon’ naval multiple rocket launcher is designed to arm river and landing ships, including hovercraft. It is capable of defeating coastal targets, equipment and manpower in the coastal zone, and surface targets (boats, watercraft), as well as creating fires.
The installation can use Soviet OF-45 fragmentation and ZZh-45 incendiary rockets with a range of 4.5 km. It is also possible to use new Russian OFD-45 fragmentation unguided rockets with a launch range of 9.5 km.
