Ukrainian forces explored the territory of Russia and found a cemetery of destroyed equipment of the Russian army.
Militarnyi informs about this with reference to the footage published by the British publication The Sun.
Ukrainian reconnaissance Leleka drone found a large cemetery near the Russian village of Golovchino, Belgorod region of destroyed Russian equipment.
Prior to the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, there was no military equipment in the village of Golovchino.
As of March, when the failed Russian offensive was overwhelmed, destroyed equipment began to appear in the Russian region.
The Leleka-100 drone recorded that after withdrawing from the northern regions of Ukraine, the Russian invaders left their damaged equipment in a field in Golovchino.
The journalists counted 57 military vehicles, including at least 17 tanks. There were at least seven self-propelled artillery guns, armored fighting vehicles, and two tank recovery vehicles.
Sam Cranny-Evans from the RUSI think-tank mentioned that the chaotic arrangement of the vehicles at the site demonstrates that they have been brought there in a hurry.
Defense expert Joseph Dempsey from the London-based IISS think-tank shared that the most logical assessment of this cemetery is that it could serve as a repair and/or recovery site for the Russian ground force vehicles damaged in the conflict.
According to him, the invaders could return some equipment to duty, others might simply become cannibalized for spare parts.
A source in the Ukrainian intelligence told The Sun that the fact that these tanks remained in Golovchino shows that they have no value to Russia.
Previously, a cemetery of destroyed armored vehicles of the Russian military has appeared near the city of Bucha in the Kyiv region.
