The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and authorized the delivery of the Black Widow unmanned aerial vehicle system to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported on this.

However, the Ministry of Defense does not disclose the detailed specifications of this Ukrainian-made drone.

They only noted that it was a reusable tactical-level quadcopter.

An experienced pilot can use it both day and night.

The Ministry of Defense also noted that due to its relatively low cost, it can also be used as an FPV strike drone.

“The Black Widow drone, designed for one-time use, carries a heavy explosive charge,” the Defense Ministry said.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has previously codified and authorized the use of the BoarTAC universal unmanned multipurpose forward-looking transporter for domestic production. The transporter’s design considers the requirements formed by the Ukrainian military’s combat experience.

Also last month, the Defense Procurement Agency of the Ministry of Defense signed several agreements to purchase Ukrainian-made drones, electronic warfare (EW), and communications equipment.

The agreements were signed with several Ukrainian companies. However, their value is not disclosed.

Dmytro Klimenkov, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, emphasized the importance of cooperation with Ukrainian manufacturers.

The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine plans to conclude new agreements with Ukrainian companies in the near future, which will contribute to the further modernization of the country’s military capabilities.
