Ukrainian troops repelled 27 Russian attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, Donetsk region.
The Ukrainian General Staff said that in this sector, the invaders were conducting assaults towards the settlements of Vozdvyzhenka, Novoselivka Persha, Novooleksandrivka, Progress, Umanske and Yasnobrodivka.
“The invaders, with the support of aviation, tried to force our units out of their positions,” the General Staff said.
The Pokrovsk sector remains one of the most active today.
Nazar Voloshyn, spokesman for the Khortytsia operational-strategic group, added that the enemy had somewhat reduced its offensive emphasis and potential.
“This sector remains the same as it was – the hottest, but the enemy has somewhat reduced its offensive emphasis and potential, as the Defense Forces are suspending it and giving an adequate response to the enemy,” said Nazar Voloshyn.
Voloshyn also said that the enemy’s losses in the sector were considerable. Over 200 Russian invaders, several armored vehicles, artillery systems and more were neutralized over the last day alone.
According to the spokesperson, up to 50 attacks per day have been recorded in the Pokrovsk sector over the past weeks.
At the same time, the invaders have recently finally captured the village of Yevhenivka. The 47th Mechanized Brigade is holding the defense in the area, and recently demonstrated the operation of Bradly armored vehicles, which destroyed Russian infantry on the outskirts of Yevhenivka.
Attack drones of the 110th Mechanized Brigade are also actively working on the front lines.
“This year’s summer was surprisingly hot, and for the Russian invaders it will be hellish. Their vehicles are burning,” the brigade said.
As previously reported, Shkval unit of ex-prisoners covered by Bradley infantry fighting vehicles prevented the invaders from gaining a foothold in the village of Novoselivka Persha, the Donetsk region.
