The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Msta-S self-propelled howitzer of the Russian invaders in the Donetsk region.
The defense showed the video in a Telegram.
The Russian tracked self-propelled howitzer was destroyed with the help of FPV drones controlled by operators of the FPV Drone Group “Muramasa” of the 109th Territorial Defense Brigade.
A Ukrainian drone caught up with a howitzer at night while it was driving on the highway and hit it in the Kryvyi Rih sector.
The Russians were moving to their firing position to fire at Ukrainian defenders.
After being hit by one or more FPVs, the Russian Msta-S caught fire. The flames engulfed the entire artillery system, leading to its destruction. It is unknown what happened to the Russian crew.
“A 2S19 Msta-S self-propelled howitzer was destroyed. The enemy thought that it would be able to drive quickly at night and take up a firing position. But we were ready for it. We thank our friends from the Kit Muran Foundation for the drones,” the FPV Drone Group “Muramasa” said.
Observers who monitor the course of hostilities in the Russian-Ukrainian war found out that the UAV had been detected and hit near the village of Kamianka, the Donetsk region.
Previously, operators of the FPV Drone Group “Muramasa” of the 109th Territorial Defense Brigade destroyed a Russian Msta-S self-propelled howitzer when it took up its firing position in the forest.
The Ukrainian military destroyed the Msta-S self-propelled howitzer using an FPV drone.
After the FPV drone hit, the enemy’s self-propelled howitzer caught fire, which led to its complete destruction.
In early June, another Msta-S was destroyed near Vasylivka, the Donetsk region. After the FPV hit, an immediate detonation of the ammunition inside the Russian howitzer occurred. The powerful explosion completely destroyed the vehicle and the crew inside.
