A FPV technology championship was held in Kyiv, with more than 15 teams from different parts of Ukraine taking part.
The Ukrainian General Staff said that the championship was organized by the Federation of Military Technological Sports of Ukraine.
More than 15 teams from different parts of Ukraine demonstrated high-tech samples of unmanned systems of their own production.
“They also competed for the championship in piloting FPV drones,” the General Staff said.
At the event, representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the National Police of Ukraine, and manufacturing companies discussed ways to further develop the industry.
“These competitions demonstrate not only the skills of Ukrainian FPV drone pilots but also provide an opportunity to explore innovative models and assess their capabilities,” the Armed Forces Innovation Directorate stated.
In Ukraine, the Armed Forces Innovation Department is constantly communicating with manufacturers and supporting the testing and codification of their samples.
A representative of the Innovation Directorate of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that he already sees potential technological solutions and areas for further improvement to make combat missions more effective.
In particular, various FPV drones and a VAMPIRE heavy strike drone were demonstrated at the event.
Vampire strike drones are one of the main representatives of the heavy bomber drone class in the Ukrainian Defense Forces and are actively used at the front line to perform various operations, including special ones.
Vampire drones can carry up to 15 kilograms of payload in the form of various types of ammunition for dropping.
Militarnyi reported previously that the Ukrainian military also uses NEMESIS bomber drones in combat operations.
