Ukrainian soldiers neutralized the Russians and captured the BMP-1

In the Eastern direction, Ukrainian soldiers inflicted losses on the Russian invasion forces and seized their armored vehicles.

A volunteer Dmytro Kotsyubailo released the photos capturing the trophy equipment.

Dmytro Kotsyubailo is the Commander of the 1st Separate Assault Company of the Right Sector Ukrainian Volunteer Corps.

During the battle, Ukrainian soldiers had seized a T-72 tank of the Russian forces.

The soldiers also seized two BMP-1 armored tracked infantry fighting vehicles.

It is worth mentioning that recently, the BMP-1s are appearing even more often, while during the previous Russian military operations they were a rare find.

It used to be widely argued that Russia’s invasion forces are not using the outdated BMP-1s.

Additionally, fighter Serhiy Filimonov released a video featuring the neutralized Russian military.

The Russian invader had an armband featuring a white circle on a red square.

Reference: BMP-1 is the first Soviet serial amphibious tracked infantry fighting vehicle, capable of sailing and designed to transport personnel of motorized infantry units to the battlefield.

The BMP-1 is armed with the 73-mm 2A28 smoothbore gun equipped for 40 rounds (16 cumulative, 24 fragmentation). A 7.62-mm machine gun is paired with a cannon.

In addition, BMP-1 is equipped with the 9M14 Malyutka anti-tank guided missile (ATGM) system to combat tanks and other armored vehicles.
