The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two combat units of the Russian invasion forces in one of the defense areas.
This was reported by the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces Command.
On June 10, anti-tank troopers of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces struck two Russian tanks, destroying them and their crew.
This success was achieved by Ukrainian soldiers of the 90th Separate Airmobile Battalion named after Ivan Zubkov.
At least one of the hitted tanks was severely damaged and caught fire.
“Today, soldiers of the anti-tank unit of the 90th Separate Airmobile Battalion named after the Hero of Ukraine Senior Lieutenant Ivan Zubkov of the 81st Separate Airmobile Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces destroyed two Russian armored vehicle combat units,” the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces stated.
Photos suggest that these are T-72 tanks, the most popular tanks of the Russian invasion forces.
The aftermath of the Russian armored vehicles’ neutralization was recorded by a reconnaissance drone. The footage captured two combat vehicles.
As previously reported, the Defense Forces of Ukraine recently inflicted losses on the Russian invasion forces in the Donetsk Region.
Due to clear and coordinated actions of intelligence and artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, yet another plan of the enemy was thwarted.
The Russian invaders tried to strike at the flank of Ukrainian units in the Donetsk Region.
The scouts detected the advance of enemy armored vehicles, including tanks. They sent the coordinates to the artillerymen, who promptly covered the armored invader group with fire.
