The Ukrainian servicemen destroyed a Russian tank in combat in the Donbas.
The video of the damaged equipment was published by the Operational Command “North”.
This is yet another video report showcasing Ukrainian military units defending Donbas from total Russian occupation.
In one of the defense areas Russian military equipment was neutralized.
A group of armored vehicles was moving in the open down a field road in a wooded area.
According to the Ukrainian servicemen, a direct hit caused ammunition detonation on a Russian T-72 tank.
“One less tank destroying our country!” Operational Command “North” stated.
However, the servicemen did not mention which weapons they used to damage the Russian T-72 tank, or if there were manpower losses on the enemy side.
A reconnaissance drone observed the work of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, and recorded the burning and ammunition detonation.
As previously reported, Т-72М1R tanks of Polish modernization were introduced by the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend the Donbas.
As seen in the photos, the Ukrainian military installed Kontact-1 reactive armor on tanks. These elements protect armored vehicles from enemy HEAT shells.
The T-72M tank is an export version of the Soviet T-72A tank. In 1982, the world saw the M1 model – a further development of the T-72M. The tank received an additional 16-mm armor plate on the upper front part of the hull and combined turret armor.
