Ukrainian company Unmanned Technologies presented the modern ground robotic system, Ravlyk (Snail) UMP-2, and highlighted its new capabilities.
The report comes from Militarnyi’s correspondent at the Security 2.0 2025 exhibition, held in Kyiv and the Kyiv region between September 30 and October 1.
Ravlyk is designed for a range of battlefield tasks, including evacuating the wounded, reconnaissance, and fire support.
The platform has already been tested in combat conditions and has proven to be reliable.
Its maximum speed is 12 km/h, its carrying capacity is 300 kg, and its towing capacity reaches up to 2 tons.
The operational range is 30 km, with continuous operation possible for six hours. In standby mode, it can remain active for up to 72 hours on a single charge.
The system can be controlled via multiple communication channels, including Silvus, DTC BluSDR, and Starlink.
Equipped with day and night cameras, the platform can conduct surveillance at any time and overcome obstacles with inclines up to 35 degrees.
Various modules can be mounted on the chassis, from evacuation stretchers to combat turrets with machine guns or grenade launchers.
Armed versions include a 12.7 mm machine gun and an automatic 40 mm grenade launcher. Modules are also available for demining and cargo transport.
Additional capabilities include deployment in automatic mine-laying systems, firefighting operations, and installation of electronic warfare systems.
In December 2024, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved the Ravlyk ground robotic system for service in the Ukrainian armed forces.
