Ukrainian special forces hit the Russian Тоr-М air defense system and Grad MLRS.
Ukrainian volunteer Serhii Prytula released footage of strikes on enemy equipment.
Ukrainian RAM II kamikaze drones were used to defeat the targets.
The SSU reported that operators of the Special Group “Alpha” destroyed the Russian Тоr-М2 self-propelled anti-aircraft missile system.
Published video footage shows a Ukrainian drone approaching and striking the Russian air defense system, after which an explosion occurs.
The air defense system failed as a result of the explosion. Two invaders, likely crew members of the Tor SAM, were also reported dead.
The report also notes that this is the fourth enemy Tor missile defense system on account of Ukrainian soldiers only in March.
The developers of the Russian Tor-М2 SAM claim that the system can detect air targets at a range of up to 27 km and hit them at a distance of up to 12 km at an altitude of up to 6 km.
Another RAM II kamikaze drone target was the Russian Grad multiple rocket launcher, which was destroyed after being hit.
RAM II drones are designed to destroy tanks, air defense systems, and other military equipment.
It was developed by Ukrainian “Ukroboronprom,” CDET, DeViRo, “Ukrainian Armored Vehicles,” Spaces Techno Export enterprises. The drone was first presented in 2021 at the Arms and Security exhibition.
The manufacturer states that after take-off, the munition moves at a speed of up to 70 km/h and scouts for enemy targets on the ground using cameras with a tenfold zoom within an operational radius of up to 30 km from the launch site for 55 minutes. The drone can carry a 3 kg warhead. It can be HE fragmentation, HEAT, or thermobaric.
