The Armed Forces of Ukraine struck a Russian multiple rocket launcher base.

The relevant statement was made by the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The operation was carried out by the soldiers of the 81st Airmobile Brigade of the Ukrainian Air Assault Forces.

Ukrainian paratroopers reported that three 220-mm BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launchers were destroyed.

Each system contains 16 rockets weighing 280 kg each and can fire a volley in 20 seconds.

The paratroopers also neutralized three tankers, a 9T452 transport-loading vehicle, and a military crane.

The 9T452 transport-loading vehicle is part of the 9K57 Uragan multiple launch rocket system. It is designed for charging and discharging BM 9P140, transportation and storage of rockets.

The Russian military command has deployed these multiple rocket launchers in Sosnove, the Donetsk Region.

This position is located between occupied Izium and Ukrainian-controlled Sloviansk.

According to the Ukrainian servicemen, in this village the Russian military refueled and repaired their military equipment.

“The 81st Airmobile Brigade of the Air Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine effectively used artillery and destroyed BM-27 Uragan multiple rocket launchers together with special vehicles and a Russian Armed Forces unit, that refueled and serviced military equipment in the field,” the servicemen said.

The 81st Airmobile Brigade was established after the beginning of the Russian aggression in fall 2014. Their baptism by fire happened in late 2014 – early 2015, during the defense of Donetsk airport and adjacent areas.
