Paratroopers of the 46th Airmobile Brigade repelled a massive mechanized assault by the enemy, which involved 46 units of equipment.
The brigade’s press service reported on this.
It is reported that the Russians divided the assault operation into four waves, during which 46 units of equipment in total attacked the paratroopers’ positions.
The Russians began the assault on September 12 at 05:45 a.m., and it lasted until noon.
To repel the assaults, the paratroopers used the entire range of weapons available and destroyed 9 infantry fighting vehicles, 2 tanks, 2 armored personnel carriers and 2 motorcycles.
In addition, 11 infantry fighting vehicles were disabled as a result of fire damage.
The brigade says it has never seen such a number of destroyed and damaged vehicles in one day in the area of the paratroopers’ responsibility.
“Those of the enemies who managed to run away in time are lucky – they will live on. But not for long, until the next hot meeting,” the paratroopers say.
According to the published footage, artillery, bomber drones and FPV drones were actively used to repel the assault.
On September 4, Militarnyi reported that paratroopers of the 46th Airmobile Brigade captured a unit of Russian invaders in the Kurakhove sector.
The brigade said that recently the paratroopers captured 9 Russian invaders, thus replenishing the exchange fund.
According to the military, they managed to detect a hideout where the Russian advanced unit was located in time due to intelligence.
