The Ukrainian Navy has recently taken delivery of a batch of Combat Boat 90 (CB90) military assault craft from Sweden and Norway.
Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, the Commander of the Ukrainian Navy, announced this on Wednesday, October 29.
According to him, a full division has already been formed using these high-speed vessels.
Neizhpapa noted that vessels of this type are already in service with the Ukrainian Navy, and now their number has increased even further.
“CB90s are among the best in the world and are used in many countries, including NATO member states. They are fast, highly maneuverable, and reliable,” the commander noted.
The boats are designed to carry out a wide range of missions – from landing troops and defending the coastline to patrolling and protecting civilian shipping.
The newly received Combat Boat 90 vessels are equipped to meet the requirements of modern naval warfare, and Ukrainian crews have completed full training to effectively utilize all their capabilities.
“I personally tested the Combat Boat 90 in action and am confident that these vessels will serve as a powerful asset in the hands of our sailors,” Neizhpapa shared.
The commander stated that the delivery of this equipment is one of the results of joint efforts within the Coalition for Ukraine’s Maritime Capabilities, which was established to strengthen the Ukrainian Navy’s potential.
