Satellite images have emerged, confirming the defeat of the Russian S-400 air defense system near Yevpatoria.

The photos were published by Radio Svoboda.

As Militarnyi previously reported, Ukrainian Neptune cruise missiles and loitering munitions hit the Russian S-400 anti-aircraft system near Yevpatoria.

According to sources, the SSU drones first hit the “eyes” of the system—radars and antennas.

And after the failure of the radar, Navy units with two Neptune cruise missiles struck the launchers of the S-300/S-400 Triumph SAM.

Recall that today at about 5:30 a.m., a group of strike drones attacked an object on the outskirts of Yevpatoria. Locals heard a series of powerful explosions, accompanied by a powerful fire.

The presence of the system near Yevpatoria, between the settlements of Zaozerne and Molochne, was recorded on August 28 due to satellite images.

At the end of August, the Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to destroy part of the S-400 SAM near the village of Olenivka on Cape Tarkhankut in Crimea.

Journalist Yuriy Butusov said that a Neptune anti-ship missile modified for a ground attack was used to strike the 5P85SM2-01 launchers of the S-400 system in Crimea in August.

In addition, back in April 2023, a representative of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry told The Drive media on condition of anonymity that designers are working on modifying the Neptune anti-ship missile to hit ground targets.

The media reported that the new missile could be launched from the same launcher as the Neptune.

It has a maximum range of 400 kilometers and a warhead weighing 350 kilograms.
