Russian troops in armored vehicles unsuccessfully attempted to drive Ukrainian troops out of the village of Krynky, Kherson region.
A drone of the 501st Separate Naval Infantry Battalion recorded an attack by Russian tanks and infantry fighting vehicles.
Due to the FPV drone, the Ukrainian army successfully targeted an invader’s T-72B3 tank, causing immediate detonation of its ammunition.
An infantry fighting vehicle, carrying troops, was in close proximity to the tank and was hit by debris resulting from the tank’s explosion.
Before that, the Russian military had attempted to dislodge the Ukrainian forces from their foothold in Krynky.
On January 6, the Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a Russian BTR-82A armored personnel carrier with additional protection in a village.
In addition, artillery is helping the military in the fight for this foothold, hitting Russian artillery in the area.
Ukrainian artillery recently hit a Russian BM-21 Grad system.
On January 8, the Ukrainian General Staff stated that the invaders had not abandoned their intention to dislodge Ukrainian units from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
“Thus, during the day, the Russians carried out nine unsuccessful assaults, but Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and inflict significant losses on the enemy,” the General Staff noted.
On November 17, the Ukrainian Marine Corps officially confirmed that Ukrainian soldiers had established footholds on the occupied left bank of the Dnipro River.
On January 3, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that the Ukrainian Defense Forces were continuing to expand their foothold on the left bank of the Kherson region.
