Marines from Mariupol have released a statement to Ukrainians.

Marines of the 36th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, that are surrounded together with other forces and are defending the city from Russian invaders, recorded a video address in which they appealed to the Ukrainian people.

The video was released by Nataliia Nahorna, 1+1 correspondent.

“We are grateful to each Ukrainian who believes in the Marines. And keeps on believing. This faith allowed us to hold this position for such a long time. And we have remained forever faithful”, says the serviceman.

Yesterday, on April 11, the media reported that the 36th Marine Infantry Brigade named after Counter Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi of the Ukrainian Armed Forces shared that the unit in Mariupol was running out of ammunition and that the situation was extremely challenging and there was no outside support.

Later, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Valeriy Zaluzhnyi assured that the authorities are doing everything possible and impossible for the defense of Mariupol.

“The defense of Mariupol continues. The connection with the defense forces units that are heroically holding the city is stable and maintained. I emphasize that the process of defense operations is not a topic for public discussion,” Zaluzhny wrote.

He stressed that “everything possible and impossible is being done to secure the victory and preserve the lives of personnel and civilians in all directions,” and called to believe in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Last night, it was reported that the Russian invaders have dropped a poisonous substance of unknown origin on the defenders of Mariupol.

The substance of unknown origin was dropped from a UAV of the invader’s forces.
