Ukrainian Marines master NLAW anti-tank missiles and M141 grenade launchers

The Marines are mastering NLAW anti-tank missile systems and M141 grenade launchers.

The detachments of the Ukrainian Marine began to receive samples of modern weapons, which were transferred within the framework of military assistance from the UK and the USA, the Marine Command said.

The Marine brigades began an intensive training with NLAW ATGM and M141 grenade launchers.

Marines study the tactical and technical characteristics of foreign weapons, practice various tactical elements during defensive combat, taking into account the use of this type of small arms.

The Ukrainian Marine Commander Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol noted that today it is a task that every marine, regardless of military grades and ranks, knows the main tactical and technical characteristics and can use the NLAW ATGM and the M141 grenade launcher.

“We understand that this is a very effective and at the same time easy to use weapon. At the same time, during the combat, different situations may arise. For example, an ATGM operator may be wounded, so every marine who is nearby must pick up NLAW, aim at target and launch,” Lieutenant General Yuriy Sodol.

As we reported earlier, at one of the training grounds of the Donetsk, with the participation of a number of units of the Joint Forces, training firing was carried out from American M141 grenade launchers and British NLAW anti-tank missile systems.

As reported previously, in the Chernihiv region, at the Desna training center has begun intensive training with NLAW short-range anti-tank missile systems.

NLAW (Next Generation Light Anti-tank Weapon) anti-tank systems handed over by UK on January 28, were tested in Ukraine at the 184th Training Center.

This was preceded by intensive theoretical training of servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In January, the Ukrainian servicemen began to master the transmitted American M141 hand grenade launchers.
