The Defence Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense intercepted the provocation of the Russian prankers who were trying to speak with Baykar Defense CEO Halyuk Bayraktar on behalf of Ukrainian officials.

Russian intelligence agencies were trying to use deepfake technology to create a fake video.

This time, they were attempting to speak with Halyuk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar defense, on behalf of the Prime Minister of Ukraine, Denys Shmyhal.

“Instead of the expected conversation with Mr. Halyuk, the Russians were “lucky” to speak with the equally fake “assistant of Mr. Baykar.” Therefore, they also had to answer the question: “What happened today with the Crimean Bridge?,” – the DI reported.

It is emphasized that the Russians exposed themselves several times during the conversation, in particular, because of their inability to correctly pronounce the Ukrainian common phrase “Indian summer.”

The DI notes that the purpose of this “campaign” was to attempt to discredit cooperation between Ukraine and Turkey.

The Turkish Baykar company has plans to build a factory in the Kyiv region and has already presented its concept.

The area of the enterprise will be over 30 thousand square meters, and more than 300 Ukrainian engineers and technicians will be hired to work there.

It will produce not only the Bayraktar TB2 UAVs but also heavier Akinci UAVs and even, probably, the latest Kizilelma unmanned fighters and other Baykar products.

Ukrainian engineers will participate in the development of new products for the company.

Currently, two Turkish UAVs, namely Akinci and Аі-25 Kizilelma UAVs, are using МS-500 Ukrainian-made engines. The latter is the newest drone with a large range of tasks.
