Come Back Alive Foundation transferred the first of 25 SHARK systems to one of the artillery brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Foundation’s press service reported this.

The system consists of a Torsus vehicle by Pulsar Expo with a ground control post and two UAVs with a launcher from Ukrspecsystems.

The military is being trained before applying the system.

“This solution we are implementing is largely unique, as it combines not just an unmanned system but the latest developments in unmanned aircraft from Ukrainian manufacturers, a four-wheel drive vehicle, and this is all combined with each other in a completely autonomously operating system. And on top of that, a crew training package for those working with the system,” said Taras Chmut, Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation.

Through the “EYE FOR THE EYE” project, the plan is to purchase:

  • 75 UAVs from Ukrspecsystems (50 main UAVs and 25 for the operational reserve to replace the lost ones);
  • 25 Torsus vehicles by Pulsar Expo, specifically equipped with control posts;
  • 25 launchers.

“This drone is quite EW-resistant, its communication is very difficult to jam, and it can be guaranteed to fly to a radius of 60 km. This is the radius when it has a reliable online connection. It stays in the air for up to 4 hours. In addition, it has very cool software that can track objects online and allows you to calibrate the inertial system so that it can return even in conditions of complete EW suppression. It has an automated takeoff and an automated landing,” says “Hleb,” a senior instructor of the UAV program at the Come Back Alive Foundation.

The cross-country vehicle is the control post of the system. It was developed specifically for this project.

“There are two fully functional workplaces for two pilots, and the system includes two UAVs. One aircraft can be in the air while the other one is charging, then the first one lands and the second takes off. The operators can also take turns to rest, they have all the conditions for full-time work here,” said Andrii Rymaruk, Head of the Come Back Alive Foundation War Department.

Two aircraft, a mast, and everything needed to operate them are stored in the vehicle’s cargo compartment. The vehicle has both an autonomous and an external power supply.

OKKO believes that they will complete the fundraising campaign for all 75 UAVs within a month.

“This is a systemic project, a large-scale one. It is the implementation of such large-scale projects that can dramatically help,” said Vasil Danilyak, CEO of the OKKO group of companies.

The Foundation noted that the implementation of such projects is a role model for engaging other businesses to cooperate with Come Back Alive.

It is necessary to collect UAH 325 million to fully implement the project. So far, more than UAH 286 million were already collected.
