The Ukrainian servicemen continue to defeat Russian forces in the area of the village of Kurdiumivka in the Donetsk region.

Recently, the 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 28th Mechanized Brigade conducted a successful assault on the positions of the invaders.

To assault the Russian position, a UR-77 mine clearing vehicle was deployed, which launched a charge that then detonated the mines.

After the passthroughs were cleared of mines, three Ukrainian BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles went to the Russian positions.

During the advance of the BMP-2, the Russian military fired a signal rocket, which probably had to notify other Russian military units about the start of the Ukrainian assault.

When the BMP-2 reached the Russian positions, assault groups disembarked from armored vehicles and went to occupy the positions of the Russian invaders in the forest.

The actions of the assault units were already shown by the soldiers of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade, who took part in these battles.

As a result of the battle, the Russian battalion was defeated.

It is reported that 35 Russian soldiers were neutralized, about 40 left the position, and several invaders surrendered.

“This is an important success, as our soldiers broke through the defenses that the enemy had been preparing for months. And this is the result of long, titanic work, training, and coordination,” the military said.

The 1st Mechanized Battalion of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade added that during the battle they eliminated the Russian commander with a shot from a meter.
