Ukrainian Forces Score a Victory with Destruction of Russian “Dzjudoist” EW System

The Ukrainian Defense Forces destroyed a rare Russian “Dzjudoist” electronic warfare system in Zaporizhzhia.

The Russian МКТК-1А “Dzjudoist” EW system was hit by Ukrainian artillery after it was spotted by the aerial reconnaissance unit.

The targeted location of the EW system was later identified as the village of Limanivka, Zaporizhzhia region (47.377327, 35.386039).

This is the first documented destruction of this type of Russian EW equipment. It is known that it was used by the airborne troops of the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that the “Dzjudoist” was struck by the first hit of artillery ammunition, which, presumably, indicates the use of M982 Excalibur precision projectiles.

МКТК-1А “Dzjudoist” is a mobile automated EW system, that was developed and manufactured by the Russian Sozvezdie JSC. It is intended for radio and special control of the efficiency of information protection and assessment of the electromagnetic situation.

The system is designed in the form of a modular cab, which is installed on a towed chassis or a two-axle KamAZ 4350 army truck.

The system provides monitoring of communication safety and specifies operating modes for radio-emitting devices. The system can also be used by special forces to increase efficiency and hide their actions in the performance of special tasks.

The system is equipped with various instruments of radio control, wide-range receiving devices, and spectrum analyzers.

The system includes three automated workplaces: radio control, technical analysis, and special control.

Specialized software installed at automated workplaces allows it to quickly display the results of monitoring and analysis of the electromagnetic spectrum on a digital map of the area and identify sources of radiation.
