Ukrainian troops destroyed a Russian Krasukha-4 EW system in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Ukrainian military in Telegram group StratCom of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that drones of the 14th Separate Regiment were used for this operation.
Reconnaissance drones helped detect a camouflaged Russian position in a forest landing.
They tried to hide the Russian equipment from intelligence with the help of camouflage nets.
Then the Russian position was hit by two shells, one of which hit a forest landing and another one—a field nearby.
This part of the forest is located between the occupied settlements of Urozhaine and Lankove in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The 1RL257 Krasukha-4 EW systems are designed to cover troops and large areas from radar detection.
They are also capable of countering reconnaissance aircraft and enemy UAVs.
According to its developers, the broadband multifunctional jamming station’s capabilities allow it to effectively combat all modern radar stations used on aircraft of various types.
According to some reports, the Krasukha-4 electronic warfare system is capable of jamming both enemy radar signals and radio control channels for unmanned aerial vehicles.
This is only the second such system to be recorded among the invaders’ losses during the entire Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to archival footage made in March 2022, Krasukha-4 was seen in Makariv, Kyiv region.
