Ukrainian technology company DroneUA has started supplying robotics to the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the company announced in a press release.

The first test batch of equipment has been sent to Virginia, where NASA will assess the optimal applications for Ukrainian-developed technologies.

According to DroneUA, NASA itself initiated the collaboration, recognizing the efficiency and innovation of Ukrainian engineering.

This partnership, according to company,  is unique for the Ukrainian technology sector and proves its global competitiveness and its readiness to tackle the most complex technological challenges.

The agreement with NASA marks a significant milestone for Ukraine’s technology sector, enhancing its economic potential and export capabilities.

“We have always seen our mission as creating game-changing technologies, and our cooperation with NASA is just the beginning. Testing our solutions in the United States paves the way for a long-term partnership with NASA. This is proof that Ukrainian innovations are shaping the future. From unmanned systems on Earth to advanced solutions in space, we are demonstrating that Ukrainian engineering is among the best in the world—without limits. Ukraine is already a key player in the global innovation ecosystem, and we are only gaining momentum,” — satiated Valerii Iakovenko, co-founder and managing partner of DroneUA.

In early February, DroneUA officially registered its trademark in the United States. However, the company has not disclosed details about the specific technology of interest to NASA or its intended use.

Ukraine’s expanding space capabilities

Miltarnyi recently reported that one of the two ICEYE satellites purchased by the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation for Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate is operating beyond its planned lifespan.

The satellite, acquired in 2021 for UAH 600 million, was expected to function for three years but remains operational.

According to ICEYE representative Nick Kowalsky, the satellite continues functioning properly and will continue to perform its tasks for the Ukrainian military until its physical resource is exhausted.

Its capabilities allow it to provide high-resolution imagery (1 meter per pixel) over a 15×15 km area, supporting Ukraine’s intelligence efforts.
