Ukrainian FPV kamikaze drones have hit Russian armored and logistics vehicles near the village of Terny in eastern Ukraine, the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade reported.
Drone operators targeted two Russian MT-LB armored personnel carriers, used to transport troops and supplies.
Further strikes hit logistics trucks and motorcycles in the rear, while reconnaissance efforts identified mortars and electronic warfare systems.
The destruction of logistics vehicles behind enemy lines can bear quite serious consequences.
In particular, it could disrupt the movement of fuel, food, and medical supplies, potentially weakening frontline operations, the brigade noted.
If these vehicles continue to be actively destroyed, this will lead to a decrease in the combat effectiveness of the invaders and their ability to carry out their tasks near Terny.
The invaders currently control part of the village of Terny and are attempting to advance toward Yampolivka, a village along key roads leading to Lyman.
The city, which was liberated by Ukrainian forces in October 2022, remains strategically important as it provides access to a major crossing over the Siverskyi Donets River.
The roads from these villages lead to the city of Lyman. The settlement was liberated in October 2022. Lyman is of operational importance, as it provides control over a key road crossing through the Siversky Donets River.
According to Ukrainian military reports, throughout 2024, Russia suffered heavy losses near Terny, sending dozens of assault units into battle.
