Satellite images showed the aftermath of the Ukrainian Defense Forces’ strike on the Borisoglebsk air base in the Voronezh oblast of the Russian Federation.

The photos were published by Radio Liberty.

The published images show several traces of fire in the area of the runway, and the buildings, at least visually, are intact.

In addition, it can be seen that the airplanes have disappeared from the parking lots.

Previously, Unian news agency reported that on the night of October 3, warehouses where corrected bombs were stored, parking lots for Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft, and aviation fuel storage facilities were attacked at the air base.

The regional authorities and the Russian Ministry of Defense traditionally claimed to have intercepted all drones and damaged residential buildings.

After the attack, local residents published photos of a large-scale fire.

Attacks on Russian facilities

Recently, on September 29, it was reported that attack drones targeted an ammunition depot in the Volgograd oblast of Russia.

According to locals, the attacked facility in the village of Kotluban was an ammunition depot that has been in active use since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The depot is located 460 km from Ukraine and, compared to the 107th Arsenal (5 square kilometers), has a smaller area of 2.6 square kilometers.

On September 21, Militarnyi reported that a missile and artillery arsenal in the village of Oktyabrsky, Tver oblast, was targeted in a drone attack.

According to some OSINT analysts, the 23rd Arsenal could have been used by the Russians to store artillery shells coming from North Korea.
