Ukrainian drones penetrated the territory of Donetsk Airport and struck mobile launch systems for Shahed and Gerbera UAVs.
The combat operation was carried out on April 5 by the 1st Center of Unmanned Systems.
The drones struck at the moment when the equipment was being prepared for the launch of Russian UAVs.
According to OSINT analysts from Dnipro Osint, the vehicles were already positioned on the runway.
The Russian forces attempted to shoot down the Ukrainian drones using small arms, but were unsuccessful.
The strike was carried out using the Ukrainian FP-2 drone developed by Fire Point.
Russian forces have long been using Donetsk Airport to store and launch Shahed drones.
Ukrainian forces regularly strike warehouses on the airport’s territory, but the occupying forces continue to set up new protective measures for their drones.
Currently, Ukrainian drones are targeting Russian mobile launch systems disguised as SUVs. Such targets were hit on March 28 and April 5.
In early March, a Buntar-3 reconnaissance UAV guided a missile strike on a facility used for storing, preparing, and launching Shahed drones at Donetsk Airport.
Following the strike, a large-scale fire broke out at the site, along with a powerful secondary detonation of enemy ammunition.
Reconnaissance and strike adjustment were carried out by operators of the 414th Unmanned Systems Brigade ‘Birds of Madyar.’
