The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed Russian T-90M Proryv and T-80BVM tanks near the village of Tonenke, which is located near Avdiyivka.
The Shadow unit reported about this on its Telegram channel.
The tanks were destroyed at the entrance to the village, and the OSINT community managed to determine the coordinates of the destruction site – 48.1347205, 37.6605699.
Most likely, the crews abandoned their tanks, after which the tanks were finished off by Ukrainian kamikaze drones.
The video shows the T-90M and T-80BVM burning heavily from the inside, so it can be concluded that they are beyond repair.
On February 28, it was reported that the Russians lost 25 armored vehicles on a 300-meter stretch of road near the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
Destroyed and abandoned tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, and armored personnel carriers based on MT-LB tracked tractors can be spotted on the road. A large number of dead Russian infantry were discovered around the equipment and in shelters near the road.
On March 2, it was reported that another assault had been repulsed near the village of Novomykhailivka.
The enemy lost many armored vehicles, including infantry fighting vehicles and tanks.
According to the Oryx OSINT service, during the full-scale Russian-Ukrainian war, Russia lost approximately 67 T-90M Proryv, including destroyed, damaged, abandoned, and captured tanks.
It is also known that the Russians have lost at least 128 T-80BVM tanks, including 11 in the latest 2022 variant.
Another confirmed instance of a T-90M being destroyed occurred near Yampolivka, Donetsk region, in early February, as showcased by soldiers of the 45th Artillery Brigade.
In January, the newest Russian T-90M was destroyed by a drone of the 124th Territorial Defense Brigade on the left bank of the Kherson region.
As previously reported, the Russians received a new batch of T-80BVM tanks, which received additional protection for the turret and hull sides.
In addition, the tanks were equipped with an add-on quick-detachable Krysha (Roof – ed.) ERA module, which was first demonstrated in 2023.
It is supposed to protect enemy tanks from kamikaze drones and other threats.
