Specialists of the Mine Action Center were trained in Kosovo with involvement of the Swiss specialists.
The Mine Action Center (MAC) was created only in the summer of this year with the funds of the State Special Transport Service training center.
The Center was already brought to full operational readiness and has the right to certify mine action operators in Ukraine.
In addition, the Center’s specialists continuously train according to the international standards.
Recently, the specialists of the Department of Quality Inspection of MAC returned from Kosovo.
Specialists improved their skills in the disposal of explosive objects at the MAT Kosovo EOD&ERW Training Establishment training center.
At the end of the training, all Ukrainian specialists received certificates of passing a specialized training course.
The purpose of the course was to provide the knowledge and skills required to perform duties and tasks during explosive ordnance disposal operations in accordance with qualified Level 3 EOD IMAS operator due to the International Mine Action Standards (IMAS).
At the same time, other CPD representatives successfully completed training in the course “Search is associated with high risk.”
This course was conducted by Ukrainian sappers under the leadership of FSD Ukraine, the Swiss Mine Action Fund.
This is a charity foundation that conducts training aimed at finding explosive objects in fields, buildings, near destroyed military equipment, etc.
In July, it was announced that the Geneva International Center for Humanitarian Demining will invite sappers from Ukraine for training.
