The Russian armored group conducted an unsuccessful assault and suffered losses in the Bakhmut direction, near Andriivka.

Russian forces attempted to penetrate Ukrainian positions in the Andriivka area with an armored group.

However, the defense forces quickly detected the invaders’ armor and struck them preemptively.

The operation involved a unit from the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade and the ‘Phoenix’ rapid response border detachment.

“Another attempt at assault by the enemy was defeated. We discovered and destroyed everything that stuck in our direction. Because good and correct teamwork and interaction should look like this,” the military said.

The Brigade said that among the destroyed equipment were T-90M, T-80BVM tanks, BMP-3 and BTR-82A armored vehicles.

“Several dozen invaders found their injuries and deaths,” the brigade added.

The Russian BMP-3 was destroyed near the occupied village of Otradivka, and one of the tanks was already near the occupied village of Zelenopillia.

Another unit—’Black Raven‘ unit of the ‘Kholodny Yar’ Brigade—neutralized two tanks near Andriivka.

The first tank was initially stopped by a mine and then destroyed with the help of a strike FPV-drone, while the second tank was destroyed by dropping a TM-62 anti-tank mine from a drone, targeting the Russian invaders.

These actions indicate that the Ukrainian military is actively deploying anti-tank mines in the occupied territory to counter the movement of Russian armored vehicles.

It is worth noting that recently, in the Marinka direction, paratroopers successfully halted an attack by a Russian armored group in the direction of Heorhiivka.
