The Ukrainian Defense Forces used drones to damage five Russian military ships stationed in Novorossiysk.
The Dossier of a Spy Telegram channel reported this information.
The strike on the fleet of the aggressor state took place on the night of March 1–2. Russian sources claim that at least 200 attack drones were involved in the operation.
According to the report, one of the vessels suffered serious damage – reportedly the minesweeper Valentin Pikul.
There are also reports that the Project 1124M small anti-submarine ships Yeysk and Kasimov, which belong to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet, were damaged.
According to the source, three Russian servicemen were killed, and 16 others were wounded as a result of the Ukrainian drone attack on Novorossiysk.
Most of Russia’s Black Sea fleet is currently based in Novorossiysk.
On the night of March 2, a fire broke out at the Sheskharis oil terminal in Novorossiysk following a Ukrainian drone attack.
The Sheskharis oil terminal is a strategic Russian maritime facility that handles the receipt, storage, and loading of oil onto tankers. The site plays a key role in the operations of the local seaport and the region’s overall export infrastructure.
Ukraine’s General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine later confirmed the strike on the oil terminal and the Novorossiysk naval base in Russia’s Krasnodar Krai.
As of the evening of March 2, hits on the terminal’s oil loading racks had been confirmed, as well as damage to a radar station that is part of Russia’s S-400 air defense system.
Separately, analysts drew attention to a dark stain on the pier in the area where the Project 1124 Albatros small anti-submarine ships are moored.
