The Ukrainian Defense Forces showed a dozen captured Russian soldiers in the Kharkiv region.
The photo was posted by Shaun Pinner, a former British soldier and current Ukrainian marine.
The photo shows about a dozen Russian prisoners of war who were captured during a new invasion attempt in the Kharkiv region.
As the author of the photo notes, Russian POWs, unlike Ukrainian prisoners of war, will be held in proper conditions.
More Russian invaders captured in Kharkiv Oblast! They won’t be going home for a long time.
But they will be safe and under the watch of Independent Humanitarian Organisations unlike Ukrainian POW’s”, Pinner wrote.
It should be noted that on May 10, 2024, the Russians launched an assault in the Kharkiv region, namely in the direction of the city of Vovchansk. At the same time, the Russians began shelling the city, which is located 5 km from the border with Russia, with rocket and cannon artillery.
The beginning of the Russian assault, although relatively quick, was partially halted by Ukrainian troops who were sent to this area.
The Russian offensive is not advancing, and the lack of fortifications on the enemy’s side allows the destruction of Russian troops from the rear.
Due to the prompt actions of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, they managed to break some units and capture Russian soldiers, who will be exchanged for Ukrainian soldiers in the future.
Militarnyi previously reported that the clearing of a house seized by Russian invaders was carried out in the village of Hlyboke, Kharkiv region, at coordinates 50.252566, 36.402520.
Yuriy Butusov, editor-in-chief of Censor.NET, reported the details of this battle:
“In the village of Hlyboke, soldiers of the 92nd Assault Brigade destroyed a group of Russian special forces. During the counterattack, two Russians were taken prisoner,” Butusov wrote on his Facebook page.
