Germany has handed over aircraft refuelers, trucks and dump trucks to the State Border Service of Ukraine.

The German Embassy reported about this.

This equipment will help border defenders perform their daily tasks.

Certain types of equipment, such as IVECO chassis dump trucks, can be used for construction and engineering works on the state border.

“Germany provided the State Border Service of Ukraine with aircraft refuelers, trucks and dump trucks. The provided equipment will ensure the mobility of the personnel when performing daily tasks and carrying out construction and engineering works,” the statement on Twitter reads.

Mercedes-Benz Unimog flatbed canopy trucks will help in the transportation of personnel and material means.

This assistance to Ukrainian border guards was provided by the Federal Agency for Technical Relief with the support of the German government.

It is worth reminding that in the next batch of military aid from Germany, the Ukrainian Defense Forces, in particular, received 12 vehicles for border protection, as reported on the website of the German government.

In December of last year, Ukrainian border guards received two airfield fire trucks from Germany to strengthen the department’s fire protection.

The State Border Guard Service noted that the transfer of two units of modern special equipment took place on the Ukrainian-Polish border at one of the checkpoints.

In the fall of 2022, the German government handed over engineering equipment to the Ukrainian border guards stationed on the border with Belarus.

In particular, the State Border Service of Ukraine received a Caterpillar 336-08 multi-purpose crawler excavator. In addition to the machinery, a set with attached equipment, spare parts, tools and other accessories were handed over as well.
