Ukrainian Border Guard Service acquired 60 DJI Matrice 300 drones for a total amount of UAH 50 mln., which will be used to protect the state border of Ukraine, reports Militarnyi with reference to the Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
At the moment, the commission is accepting the drones from the supplier.
These drones were purchased by the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine under the state defense order for 2021.
Some of these have already been delivered to the Main Personnel Training Center of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after Major General Ihor Momot.
In total, 8 systems have already been received, which include 24 drones with monitoring equipment.
Another 12 systems (with 36 drones) are scheduled for delivery by the end of this year.
Each system includes three DJI Matrice 300 drones with built-in interference detection systems.
The systems also include remote controls, combined suspensions with day vision cameras, television cameras and laser rangefinders.
To ensure the possibility of processing flight information, processing reports, studying the meteorological situation, the organization of search operations, the system is equipped with an automated workplace based on laptop and tablet.
The new drones can be used within a radius of 15 km from the operator both day and night, as they are equipped with optical and thermal imaging cameras.
It will be recalled that in November, in the suburbs of Odesa, the military personnel shot down a new police drone costing UAH 1.5 million flying over military facilities.
