The Defense Forces in the Bakhmut direction use Ukrainian Bastion-01 multiple rocket launchers.

Domestic-made MLRS were received by the artillerymen of the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.

“Bakhmut direction. The operation of the soldiers of the 3rd Assault Brigade with the MLRS is the rapid delivery of Russians to hell,” the Brigade said.

These unique rocket systems are based on the KrAZ-6322RA chassis.

The Bastion-01 type MLRS was first demonstrated in 2009, the development of the system began a year earlier.

The point was the unification of the Bastion with the KrAZ-6322 truck adopted in 2006 and improving the basic characteristics of the MLRS.

The artillery component remained the same for the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher.

In 2017, it became known that the state Shepetivsky Repair Plant was involved in upgrading the Grad MLRS to the Bastion-01 level.

The company was also engaged in major repairs of the BM-21 artillery units.

The transfer of Bastion-01 to the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade strengthens the artillery capabilities of this unit of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Recall that the Special Operations Forces of the Azov Regiment and the 98th Battalion of the Territorial Defense Force officially became part of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and transformed into the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade.

Azov veterans formed this unit in February 2022 in Kyiv as a volunteer territorial defense detachment. Later, he entered the Special Operations Forces unit. Soldiers of this unit participated in battles in the Kyiv region, Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions. Now the 3rd Separate Assault Brigade is participating in the defense of Bakhmut.
