The Ukrainian military prevented Russian invaders from gaining a foothold on the outskirts of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.

OSINT analyst Getty posted a video on social media of an Armed Forces drone capturing the destruction of a Russian position.

The Ukrainian military deployed a tank to destroy the Russian position.

A tank of the Defense Forces of Ukraine drove close to the Russian infantry, who had taken refuge in the houses, and started firing at them.

As a result, the tank smashed the Russians’ hideouts and neutralized the infantry. At least one invader was also captured.

The position was presumably then taken over by Ukrainian infantry, who captured the prisoner of war.

The General Staff reported that over the past day, Ukrainian troops repelled five enemy attacks in that area.

“The enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region,” the General Staff noted.

The Kupyansk sector is the responsibility of the Khortytsia operational-strategic group.

The Russian military is trying to capture the village of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, to build on its success in the offensive on Kupiansk.

“Russian invaders do not abandon their intentions to advance towards Kupiansk and want to re-occupy it. The enemy wants to reach the borders of Synkivka to build on their success in the offensive on Kupiansk,” Volodymyr Fitio, Head of the public relations service of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported.

As previously reported, the Ukrainian Defense Forces were strengthened with the German Leopard 1A5 tanks in the Kharkiv region.
