In Zaporizhzhia, the Ukrainian military defeated the Russian armored group, which tried to advance near Pryiutne.
Footage from the battle was shown by the soldiers of the 228th Separate Battalion of the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade.
The Russian command sent T-72 tanks and MT-LB armored personnel carriers with infantry into battle.
The Ukrainian military monitored the movement of invaders using drones with thermal imagers.
The Russian convoy was immediately hit by artillery of the Ukrainian Armed Forces using high-explosive and cluster shells.
During the battle, it was possible to hit two T-72 tanks and two MT-LB armored personnel carriers of six pieces of equipment, which Russians sent to assault with infantry.
Then Ukrainian attack drones began to finish off the abandoned armored vehicles and Russian infantry, on which explosives were dropped.
“We continuously destroy the enemy and his equipment in the Zaporizhzhia sector,” the TDF noted.
It is not the first time that the Russian command is trying to advance to Zaporizhzhia near the village of Pryiutne.
Back in January, the Defense Forces of Ukraine repulsed a massive attack by the Russian military north of the village of Pryiutne.
On January 30, the Ukrainian General Staff said that invaders had carried out 4 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As previously reported, recently in the Zaporizhzhia region, the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces helped destroy the Russian BUK air defense system.
