The Come Back Alive Foundation, in partnership with Nova Poshta, civic initiatives, businesses, and concerned citizens, raised UAH 309 million as part of the “REBnemo tak REBnemo: We’ll Jam the Enemy” project.
One of the largest donors was the Norwegian organization Fritt Ukraina, which contributed € 1 million to the project. A significant contribution also came from the readers of Militarnyi, who raised over UAH 3 million.
Additionally, Nova Poshta matched the amount raised by donors.
“Each of us — Nova Poshta’s clients, our employees, and partners — lives in a country that is attacked from the air every day. We cannot stand aside when we feel this threat ourselves. That’s why we are focusing on strengthening the Air Force to protect our skies,” commented Olena Plakhova, Director of Reputation Management at Nova Poshta.
Air defense systems and air defense command centers remain priority targets for Russian strikes.
In response to these threats, there emerged a need to create an effective point defense system capable of detecting and intercepting enemy reconnaissance assets — such as Orlan, Supercam, and Zala-type drones.
The foundation developed, procured, and delivered a comprehensive defense ecosystem to the Ukrainian Air Force to strengthen the protection of air defense systems against enemy attacks.
This ecosystem includes a command system, FPV drones equipped with thermal and daytime optics, interceptor drones, electronic warfare systems, secure communication systems, off-road vehicles, and mobile command centers.
This equipment is provided exclusively to trained specialists — the Air Force’s units. Also, service members undergo additional training to ensure the effective use of advanced technologies
Militarnyi attended the handover of equipment to the units of the Air Command East.
“The enemy is scaling up its strike capabilities, producing large numbers of attack drones, and improving various types of missiles launched from both aircraft and ships. All fire correction is conducted using reconnaissance drones that are launched into our territory. There are more strike assets on the front line, making it harder for the enemy to operate, so we are scaling up mobile interceptor crews within military units of the formation to prevent enemy recon drones from approaching our strategic sites,” said a representative of Air Command East.
The use of anti-air FPV drones and fixed-wing UAVs significantly saves on scarce and expensive air defense missiles, as it is not rational and efficient to use them against small targets like reconnaissance drones.
The ecosystem includes FPV interceptors with ten-inch frames, equipped with warheads featuring remote detonation. They are capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 meters per second and use digital communication systems.
According to Oleh Karpenko, Deputy Director of the Come Back Alive Foundation, preliminary assessments of the project’s effectiveness show that the first training and combat units have already successfully shot down enemy reconnaissance drones.
“The FPV component has proven its effectiveness — it needs to be expanded, scaled up, and further enhanced with various tools,” he said.
As previously reported, the previous handover under the “REBnemo tak REBnemo: We’ll Jam the Enemy” project was reported on May 14. At that time, the defense system package was delivered to the units of the Air Command South.
