AeroMotors, a company within the Brave1 ecosystem, has raised $550,000 in investment from the venture fund Front Ventures, according to Brave1.
The funding was used in part to scale up production, allowing the company to reach a capacity of up to 60,000 electric motors per month.
Brave1 notes that investments in Ukrainian-made components are still relatively rare, as the market is in an early stage and foreign investors remain cautious. However, each such deal is viewed as a vote of confidence in Ukraine’s defense tech sector and a potential catalyst for further venture investment.
Earlier, with the support of Brave1, AeroMotors also secured funding from MITS Capital, which consistently supports the development of Ukrainian defense technologies.
AeroMotors specializes in the design, production, and testing of electric motors for UAVs, offering a product range from 7 to 32 inches, covering everything from FPV drones to heavy platforms.
Brave1 emphasizes that the development of a domestic components market and systematic investment are key factors in ensuring the technological independence of Ukraine’s defense industry.
As a reminder, Brave1 recently invited students to take part in an engineering hackathon.
