Turkish Baykar company will transfer the Bayraktar TB2 strike drone on behalf of Polish citizens to Ukraine within 1-2 months.

Baykar CEO Haluk Bayraktar informed about this transfer the Ukrinform news agency.

“The Polish Bayraktar drone will be delivered to Ukraine within one or a maximum two months,” Bayraktar said.

He added that it is likely to be in October 2022.

Polish citizens raised 100% of the funds for Bayraktar UAV for Ukraine at the end of July.

The funds were collected within the framework of the “Buy Ukraine Bayraktar” campaign, which lasted for a month. More than 200 thousand people transferred their funds for this purchase.

Sławomir Sierakowski, a famous Polish journalist, sociologist, editor-in-chief of the Political Critique media, was initiator of the campaign. He expressed hope that the Turkish manufacturer would transfer the “Polish” Bayraktar to Ukraine for free, as in the case of the Lithuanian drone, or three drones boughts by the Serhiy Prytula Foundation.

Later, Baykar Makina confirmed that it will transfer the “Polish” Bayraktar to Ukraine for free, and the funds collected for the drone will be spent on humanitarian projects in Ukraine.

Three Bayraktar TB2 drones, which the Turkish company Baykar Makina promised to transfer free of charge to the Ukrainian side for the collected funds as part of the Narodny Bayraktar project, were already delivered to Ukraine.

At the end of June, Ukrainian showman, volunteer Serhiy Prytula announced that Ukrainians had transferred money for the purchase of four Bayraktar strike drones for the Armed Forces of Ukraine in three days.

Subsequently, the Turkish company said that it would transfer three drones to Ukraine for free, and the money collected by Prytula’s foundation would be spent on humanitarian assistance to Ukrainians.

In August, Prytula said that his foundation acquired access to all the capabilities of one of the ICEYE satellites due to funds raised by Ukrainians for the purchase of Bayraktar drones.
