Ukraine’s air defenses will be shooting down Russian military planes when they would be trying to enter the occupied part of Moldova.

Militarnyi reports about this with reference to Ukrinform citing the statement of Colonel Bohdan Senyk, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have confirmed that they would not be tolerating the Russian aircraft flying into the so-called “Transnistrian Moldavian Republic.”

“Ukrainian air defense forces will be shooting down military and military transport aircraft of the Russian Armed Forces over the territory of Ukraine in case they attempt to transfer them to Tiraspol,” said Colonel Bohdan Senyk, Head of the Public Relations Department of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Previously, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted that the enemy is trying to improve its tactical position in the Pivdennyi Buh area.

The General Staff of Ukraine does not rule out using the territory of the so-called “Transnistrian Moldavian Republic” to support Russia’s offensive operations.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to respond to those attempts to involve Russian units in hostilities in this direction.

“The attempts of the enemy to intensify its existing forces in the territory of self-proclaimed Transnistria to support the offensive actions in the South are being monitored by us, and our forces are ready to respond. Preparation of the airfield may indicate the intensification of air attacks,” Vladyslav Nazarov, the Officer of the Operational Command “South.”

The enemy is also conducting air reconnaissance, but the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces are prepared.

Colonel Nazarov also assured that the forces of protection and defense of the South of Ukraine are working to protect the safety of the residents.
