On March 16 and into the night of March 17, Ukrainian Defense Forces launched a series of strikes against Russian invasion forces’ targets.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the Special Operations Forces reported on this.
One of the key targets was the command post of the missile systems of the 15th Separate Coastal Missile Brigade of the Russian Black Sea Fleet and a mobile fire group near Verkhnekurganne in occupied Crimea.
This unit is armed with Bastion coastal missile systems, which the enemy uses to launch Onyx supersonic missiles.
These missiles are designed to strike ships, but Russia is using them to attack ground-based civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, particularly in the Odesa region.
Additionally, the Special Operations Forces used drones to strike a camouflaged component of an S-400 air defense missile system in Shkilne.
They also struck a Tor-M2U air defense missile system in the Klintsy area of the Bryansk region. And in the Mangush area of the Donetsk region, an invaders’ communications hub was hit.
In Melitopol, the Defense Forces struck a fuel and lubricants depot, and in the Stepne and Terpinnia districts of the Zaporizhzhia region, they destroyed ammunition depots belonging to the Russian Federation’s 58th Combined Arms Army.
In the Henicheska Hirka area of the Kherson region, the Defense Forces struck a UAV training center. In addition, Ukrainian Armed Forces units struck drone control centers in the Huliaipole and Obratne areas.
In the Donetsk region, Ukrainian troops attacked enemy troop concentrations near Chasovyi Yar.
Over the course of three days, Special Operations Forces units launched a series of strikes on military facilities of Russian forces in the temporarily occupied territories of Crimea and the Zaporizhzhia region.
In particular, in occupied Sevastopol, a logistics depot on the territory of the Chersonesos airfield was targeted.
