A new Russian mine fell into the hands of the Ukrainian military. No information was previously available about it.
The first photos capturing this mine were published by the Omega Consulting Group private military company which is training the Ukrainian forces.
Presumably, this previously unknown Russian armor-piercing mine has a directional effect.
The mine has a modular type and up to 3 blocks that can be connected with each other.
They can also be equipped with additional molded fragmentation blocks and various sighting and mounting devices.
The published photos indicate that the product was produced in 2019.
InformNapalm, the international intelligence community, has released captured documentation for this mine.
“This is a relatively new Russian mine development, about which the information is not yet available online,” InformNapalm noted.
OLA-8T marking indicates its composition: HMX – 77%, aluminum – 8%, compound (LD-70, polyacrylic polymer, stabilizer) – 15%.
The detonation rate is 8430 m/s at a density of 1.84 g/cm3.
In September, the Ukrainian fighters captured the latest Russian anti-tank mines PKTM-1R in the Kharkiv region.
It is also one of the latest Russian weapons used by the invaders against armored vehicles of units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.
