The United States has transferred Oshkosh M-ATV MRAP armored vehicles to Ukraine.

The video with the armored vehicles was released on social media.

The machines are transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of military assistance, which is necessary for Ukraine to resist the Russian invasion.

The NMFTE Telegram channel reported that a large column with various western armored vehicles had been noticed on the territory of Ukraine.

About 40 units of military vehicles were captured on the video.

“A huge column of western armored vehicles accompanied by the Ukrainian UAZ-469,” the report said.

It is worth noting that before this there were no official reports from the United States about the possible transfer of this type of armored vehicles to the Ukrainian military.

The Oshkosh M-ATV is aMine-Resistant Ambush Protected (MRAP) vehicle with a 4×4 wheel arrangement, currently in service with the United States Army and several other countries.

The crew of the vehicle usually consists of five people. One of them operates a weapon, which can be placed on the top of an armored vehicle. This may be a machine gun rotary turret on which a 7.62mm machine gun, 40mm grenade launcher or Browning M2 12.7mm heavy machine gun can be mounted. Besides, the armored vehicle can be equipped with a remotely controlled combat module.

The machine has a V-shaped hull with its cabin accommodating specially designed seats, which provide shock absorption, protecting the crew from a shock blast wave. The armored vehicle can develop a speed of up to 105 km/h on the highway.

It should be recalled that in early March, Militarnyi reported that the United States, as part of a new military assistance package, would for the first time transfer an Armored Vehicle Launched Bridges to the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to American media, it regards the M60 AVLB Armored Vehicle Launched Bridges based on the M60A1 tanks after having the turret removed and a bridge launcher installed instead.
