Ukraine received the first batch of ambulances from the United Arab Emirates.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine reported on this.
The first batch of 23 converted ambulances has been delivered to Ukraine.
The vehicles are outfitted with all necessary medical gear, including oxygen cylinders, heart monitors, defibrillators, electrocardiographs, and ventilators.
In addition, thanks to the equipment installed in these ambulances, it is possible to save a person in case of cardiogenic shock, provide assistance during childbirth, resuscitate patients, provide general anesthesia, and provide primary surgical treatment of wounds.
The vehicles were converted from civilian Toyota Land Cruiser J79 off-roaders. Thanks to a 4-liter V6 engine with 250 hp and all-wheel drive, the vehicle can overcome difficult off-road conditions.
In total, Ukraine is to receive 50 Toyota Land Cruiser J79 ambulances from the United Arab Emirates.
The transfer of the SUVs was organized by the Olena Zelenska Foundation with the assistance of the Ukrainian Embassy in the UAE.
As Militarnyi previously reported, the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received mine clearance equipment from Japan.
A total of 40 special vehicles, 50 hand-held mine detectors, along with containers and fire extinguishing liquid, were handed over to the rescuers.
The equipment will help accelerate the demining process and make it safer for the pyrotechnic units.
The Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine thanked the Government of Japan and Matsuda Kuninori, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, for their assistance to the rescuers.
