The Ukrainian military received new BATT UMG armored vehicles.
Photos of these armored vehicles in Ukraine were published on social media.
Presumably, these armored vehicles were acquired by Ukraine itself and not transferred as defense assistance.
In June 2022, it became known that the American company The Armored Group received an order for about $23.2 million.
The contract called for the production and delivery of 100 BATT UMG vehicles to an unnamed Eastern European country.
“These vehicles provide a critical capability as the men and women of the armed forces protect the right to determine the future of their nation, on their terms,” commented the Executive Vice President of the company, Beau Gailey.
The statement of the Vice President of TAG, makes it possible to suggest that Ukraine may be the recipient country.
In June 2022, the Ukroboronprom State Concern also reported that it had concluded contracts for the purchase of up to half a thousand imported armored vehicles.
But representatives of the concern did not specify which country the armored vehicles would be purchased in.
The BATT UMG is equipped with military-grade surveillance and communication systems. The vehicle is built on a commercially available platform, that was then modified to the highest TAG standards for survivability in conflict zones.
The Ford-based chassis gives BATT UMG access to one of the world’s largest international distribution networks, making the armored vehicle repairable in the most remote regions.
