On Tuesday, December 3, a donation drive was launched to create mobile strike groups for the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Serhiy Prytula’s charitable foundation launched the fundraising campaign in cooperation with the WOG gas station chain and WINNER company.

The soldiers of these units will receive attack drones to effectively engage enemy targets.

This project is called “Lightning of the SOF”.

The Foundation informed that the cost of equipping one crew is UAH 3 million.

The equipment includes:

• 42 Darts UAVs;
• a pickup truck
• generator, charging station
• Starlink, electronic warfare, and signals intelligence equipment.

WOG and WINNER have already transferred UAH 1 million each to the project and provided a prize fund.

The Darts kamikaze drones, which will be delivered to the soldiers of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ Special Forces mobile strike groups, are already being used by the Ukrainian military against the Russian occupiers at the front. They cost about $1,000 per unit and are donated by charitable foundations that support the army.

It is known that the Ukrainian Darts airplane-type attack UAVs are designed on the basis of components from FPV drones and can fly at a speed of 160 kilometers per hour over a distance of 40-50 km. They are equipped with a warhead weighing four kilograms.

The Darts drone is equipped with a single engine in the nose and has a wingspan of 1.9 meters and a fuselage length of 1.5 meters.

To operate effectively over maximum distances, these drones are used in conjunction with repeater drones.
