The German company Dynamit Nobel Defence (DND) is exploring the possibility of producing Panzerfaust 3 grenade launchers in Ukraine.

The company’s representative shared this with the reporters of the German publication Hartpunkt.

The agreements were reached within the framework of a cooperation agreement signed on February 17 between the German arms manufacturer and the Ukrainian state-owned JCS Ukrainian Defense Industry (Ukroboronprom).

The representative of the DND noted that the first step would be to explore whether the joint production of Panzerfaust 3 anti-tank grenade launchers in Ukraine was possible.

According to him, for example, initially, the final assembly of the grenade launcher could have been carried out at a Ukrainian enterprise from components delivered from Germany.

In the second stage, it would be possible to establish the licensed production of Panzerfaust 3 in Ukraine.

The production of these infantry weapons in Ukraine could reduce the production capacity deficit of Dynamit Nobel Defense in the Burbach municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia in Germany in favor of the production of other weapons.

DND is one of the largest European weapons manufacturers. It produces anti-tank grenade launchers RGW 60, RGW 90, RGW 110 and Panzerfaust 3.

In addition, the company specializes in the development and production of communication and situational awareness systems, armored elements for armored vehicles, and fire extinguishing systems for various purposes.

Hand grenade launchers manufactured by this German Dynamit Nobel Defense have already been transferred to the Ukrainian Defense Forces within the framework of international military assistance.

Panzerfaust 3

The German Panzerfaust 3 hand-held anti-tank grenade launcher consists of a fire control unit and a disposable launcher. The fire control unit includes folding handles, trigger and safety mechanisms, a folding shoulder rest, and an optical sight.

The grenade launcher fires rocket-propelled grenades with a HEAT monoblock or tandem warhead. The Panzerfaust 3 arsenal also includes a multi-purpose grenade with a HE-Frag warhead, which is blown up with a slight slowdown after breaking through the obstacle, ensuring the defeat of the enemy’s manpower behind cover.
